Welcome to thee pHactory……where the pitch is wild!

Welcome to the excess of the future. In the hand’s of Phactory  we see a perfect example of the  technology and appropriation driven art, foreseen way back in the fifties and sixties by the Independent Group, the Situationists and the Pop Artists. Their discussions of technology, mechanisation and cultural transformation established a precedent for the media-mad world which we inhabit today.

As yet, Phactory’s style is still evolving. There is no agenda as such but it’s definitely for people who are seeking something different. The problem often raised in response this kind of work is that it represents awakening of the polarisation between author and reader, nullifying the importance of attribution and intellectual property. This mainly economic-personality-driven view has little sway in Phactory, where anything is fair game, even if that is only a vague memory trace in the collective consciousness. This is highly potent stuff involving an implicit participation on behalf of the audience with emotionally moving situations which have the potential to experiment and lead to new and unknown form.
